On 10 April 2025, the final conference of the PRIMA Nexus-NESS project will take place in Rome, concluding a four-year initiative aimed at advancing sustainable resource management in the Mediterranean region. The event will present the project’s main outcomes, including the results from four Nexus Ecosystem Labs located across the Mediterranean basin.
Central to the conference will be discussions on the implementation of the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus approach and the integration of responsible research and innovation into environmental governance frameworks. The conference is expected to gather researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss the project’s contributions and future opportunities for applying integrated resource management strategies.
Professor Enrica Caporali and Tommaso Pacetti from the Waterscapes group will be keynote speakers at the conference, discussing the adoption of gender-responsive approach in the Nexus Ecosystems Labs and the role of indicators in the WEFE transistion.
